Unoffical Crow Bar Bumper Sticker
On December 31st 2003 Crow Bar opened it's doors to the world of Mississippi Avenue. A Mississippi very different from today. There were no giant gem stores. No alcohol ice cream (except when someone eat a cheap ice cream sandwich very quickly after pounding a 40.)
This was a Portland of yesteryear. It was a city of grim, a city less developed by corporate interests and twee television shows. Crow Bar opened with some pinball, cheap tall boys and a goddamn dream. A dream to be a dive in a city of dives.
A lot has changed since that day. Cellphones got smaller and then suddenly really big again. People have those one wheel things now. But what hasn't changed? Crow Bar. When those doors open today you find a sliver of what Portland used to be. A place you could shit your pants twice.
